It was pathetic. He STILL tries. And it isn't like I have a line of gentleman callers stretching around the block. Not like the old days. I'm in my 80s, I can't get pregnant. It wouldn't be a big deal. I'm at the "take what you can get" stage of life.
But you've seen his feet, right? The only parts of me he could get wet would be the parts he sweats on.
