The E.U.'s tariffs and sanctions against Russia hurt Russia a little and the E.U. critically. The same could happen with Trump's assaults on Chyna.
An empire on the way down trying to dominate an emergent empire generally plays out badly for the aging titan.
It would be a wonderful thing if Trump were to use these tariffs to reindustrialize the United States, taking care of OUR people and letting OTHER people fend for themselves. Instead, he seems intent on continuing to use our tax dollars to try to prop up an empire whose time in the sun is over - failure by its own hand.
The USSR folded its tent badly, leaving Russia as a weakened whore being pillaged and gang raped for a decade until Vladimir Putin came along and reasserted Russia's sovereignty. The same could happen here if Nero continues to fiddle while Rome burns. What we need is not a shot in the arm for the American empire, but rather, an orderly shut-down that preserves the nation state while forfeiting the empire. I see no evidence whatsoever that this is what Trump is up to. I see nothing but a continuation of empire and a full-on continuation of the Obama-Biden agenda. We are still funding CoupKraine, still licking israel's balls, still **** with Iran, still trying to pretend - as the british before us - that the empire is not failing.
The world is done with the American empire - mark that down, son.
