What about juicing carrots...?
With juicing you are tossing out lots of fiber and zero calorie bulk to help you feel full...but on the other hand you are encouraging the intake of the nutrients in their most bio-available form.
[A good tasting tonic I haven't taken the time to make in years is carrot, garlic and a wee bit of apple. If you have a good attitude about drinking freshly macerated garlic...thrown in as much as you like]
Juicing is excellent.
The top vegetables to juice are celery, cucumber, carrots, ginger, and cilantro.
Fiber does not help relieve constipation. This is an innocuous myth promoted by the health zealots - it had good intentions but is misleading.
The real cause of constipation is inflammation in the small intestine, caused by some mixture of pathogens, which grow more aggressive and in number from foods that feed them (gluten, seed oils, soy, corn, dairy, and yes, even eggs for certain strains).
Viruses release toxins (waste) after they finish consuming, which disrupt the nervous system from carrying out their intended functions. When you get the flu, for example, you may experience sinus drainage. Not all of that drainage is from mucus production in your body - some of that goo is the viral toxins (byproducts) themselves.
When they “coat” the nerve endings, your brain can no longer send signals successfully to, for example, the colon.
