13 U.S. service members and approximately 170 Afghan civilians, who were killed in a suicide bombing on August 26, 2021, outside the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber affiliated with ISIS-K, during the final days of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
