If I were you, I'd worry more about the number of liberals suffering from TDS that are inches away from jumping out of windows themselves and needing psychiatrists rather than worry about Trump throwing anyone out a window!JohnnyYou » 18 Jan 2026, 10:50 am » wrote: ↑ It's only a matter of time till Trump has people flying out of hotel windows.
The Paradox of "Trump Derangement Syndrome"
Psychology Today Sept. 5, 2024 |Early in 2018, I published a post, “Why the Left’s Obsession With Donald Trump Will Backfire,” for Psychology Today with the explicit intent of demonstrating how the wisdom of the world-renowned psychiatrist Viktor E. Frankl could be applied to a very timely and polarizing topic—the presidency of Donald Trump. My post generated considerable interest among readers of all political persuasions and affiliations. Fast forward to today, and the obsession with Trump appears to have no signs of receding. This particular fixation has even been given its own label, known facetiously as “Trump derangement syndrome” or TDS.
- The obsession with Donald Trump is an example of paradoxical intention or working against oneself.
Doctor compares liberals’ reaction to President Trump to America’s shock after 9/11 attacks: ‘It is affecting their lives"
Fox News By Carl Campanile 2/9/25
Liberals are taking “Trump Derangement Syndrome” to whole new level, according to one doctor. Some patients are reacting to Trump’s first weeks in office with reports of depression, anxiety, insomnia, chest pains, panic and fear, said Jackson Hole internist Glenn Burnett — who compared the response to how Americans coped with the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Is it any wonder liberals are having a mental health crisis?
Fox News By Rikki Schlott 6/3/25
Liberals are more than twice as likely to say they have poor mental health — while conservatives are more than twice as likely to say their mental wellbeing is “excellent.”
Is it any wonder?
Conservatives promote family and religious values and pro-community messaging. The left is the party of grievance politics and “Yes you can’t” messaging.
Data collected from the 2022 Cooperative Election Study from Tufts University and reported by political commentator Nate Silver reveals that, among voters who said their mental health was poor, 45% identified as liberal and just 19% were conservatives.
Those who said they had excellent mental health identified as conservative 51% of the time, while 20% were liberal.
Mental Health Crisis: Study Shows Stark Political Divide in Diagnosis Rates
Metro Voice Jan.1, 2025
A groundbreaking Pew Research study from 2020 is getting renewed attention with a greater focus on mental health and the recent political cycle. More than half of self-described young white liberal women (56.3% of those between 18-29) say they’ve been diagnosed with a mental health condition. Compare that to conservative women the same age, where it’s only about 25%.
