I'm not sure how long ago you pulled the money for a house. Have you figured out how much you lost by pulling that money?JohnnyYou » 24 Jan 2026, 5:32 am » wrote: ↑ The investment volatility was uncomfortable in our past. It is now too.
We put our 401K's into ownership of our home years ago. An inheritance also helped our economic security.
An associate inherited some Sherwin Williams stock which we cashed out a big chunk of it a year ago at a peak $389 a share in November when I had jitters of a Trump crash. It's at $348 this morning. It has not gotten past that peak we sold at since. I regret not flipping it all at that time.
There was no will for the transfer of the stock. Getting the transaction done was extremely difficult. But we got the stock in his name just in the nick of time.
Getting what I have in the stalker market out is a priority right now. I have those same jitters now. Our shyt is going to collapse in a reset. A New Crypto World Order is in impmentation right now.

I have 2 friends who treat the stock market like the black plague, they are going into retirement broke.
It shouldn't take long to get your money, I can get a check in my hands in 48 hours.
Unfortunately your story has been played out millions of times over. A lot of people can't handle the drawdown and pull their money to their own detriment.JohnnyYou » 24 Jan 2026, 10:10 am » wrote: ↑ It came in 48 hours once we got through the Persian accents in India.
No kind of confirmation.. Sell and Pray. Shareholders Online is not recommended but it is my only expereince.
The 4 shares had spllit many times since 1984.. It was tough to figure out what was going on as a first timer,
I was unable to find a stock value for Sherwin Williams in 1984. It was given a bonus to my associates Father,
Athird of the shares were actual certificates, The other two thirds had gone electronic.
All I know is I had 12K in one, I invested. It got up to 50K with Dubya and got smacked back down to 12K in the 2008 financial crisis. Obama got it back to 50K by 2016 and I jump[ed out of it.. The experience left me untrusting in the financial wizards.. Man cannot make money on finance alone Foolman. The Everything Bubble is gonna burst. Your money could go poof the magic dragon at any moment.
My economy didn't work out like that. I made some decisions that didnlt work out.Fuelman » 24 Jan 2026, 11:05 am » wrote: ↑ Unfortunately your story has been played out millions of times over. A lot of people can't handle the drawdown and pull their money to their own detriment.
My only claim is I don't know ****! We just happened to start dumping as much money as possible into 401k's in 2011. Six percent company match helped. Was able to max out contributions the last few years before 2021 when I retired at 60 and moved to Colorado. I know you look at the stock market charts, look what happened since 2011.
That is just pure luck as I see it.
LowIQ has me on alert, preservation has become a more primary goal.
