Trump doesn't GIVE TINKERS DAMN about Tariffs, or "Threats of conflict", or OTHER threats (i.e. leaving NATO)... ALL Trump cares about is getting control of Greenland for NATIONAL Security reasons !

EVERYTHING ELSE is called LEVERAGE... HE CAN do it, if he wants!   He STILL COULD if he wants.. AND he MIGHT... OR MIGHT NOT !  ...but ALL he really wants is control over Greenland! ...a country that CAN NOT protect itself if attacked by Russia or China, ...WHO WOULD want NATO to come help them if that were to happen... BUT WHICH, NATO wouldn't have the BALLS to do it alone... AND SO, It will ALWAYS come down to the U.S.A... and THAT is the ULTIMATE leverage !

Trump isn't done yet, THIS was just the BEGINNING... it will ONLY end when he GETS what he wants, BECAUSE, in this case.. he is RIGHT to ask for it!  FIGHT to do so BEFORE it becomes a World Wide WAR waiting to happen, and the USA is drawn in UNPREPARED... when THAT COULD BE ADDRESSED NOW !!

Making Greenland a state would be stupid.  They are very socialist and have government subsidies to include housing.  They would get two senators who would probably be dems, as well a house member.

The "deal' seems to be some sovereign land for us as well as increasing the the personel in Thule.

1) The USA having a few bases somewhere, and having the authority and responsibility to step in and STOP bad actor like Russia or China moving into Greenland, setting up their own bases, and taking over... are TWO COMPLETELY different things !

2)  The USA does NOT currently have the freedom to mine anything in Greenland... they have a few military bases... and that's ALL !

3)  IF the USA needed the Rare earth elements under the Greenland ice, they could CERTAINLY mine it...  Humans have been deep mining materials under ROCK for years... YOU saying that a few hundred feet of ICE would stop us, is RIDICULOUS !

4)  Neither NATO nor Denmark have the capability to fully secure Greenland from the Russians or Chinese trying to take over... the USA DOES !

5)  HOWEVER, ALL of that aside... America needs Greenland to build early warning and missile bases there, to be part of Trumps Golden Dome, and to keep America safe should Russia or China EVER try to launch Nucear missiles aginst us..

RISK WW3?  Donald Trump did NOTHING of the sort... what he did was he REMINDED Europe, and the REST of the WORLD, who the BOSS was... and that he expects to be TREATED with RESPECT !

America has supported NATO for the last 50+ years... and all they do is make promises that they can't keep !  BUT NOW, THIS is something that is CRITICAL for America, as WELL as the world... and Denmark (who can't even take care of themselves), and NATO (who aren't much better)... are going to stand in America's way of protecting themselves, the Western Hemisphere, and NATO itself, by REFUSING us a CRITICALLY located ICE COVERED island, because THEY have an INFLATED view of themselves?
