The earth's climate is remarkably stable, and the ALLEGED warming of the past 120 years, IF true, is a meaningless blip which, in and of itself, proves nothing at all except that the climate alarmists' thesis is silly pseudo-science.
They made hysterical claims that if we did not do this and that and the other thing, Florida would disappear by 2010. There would be 50 million climate refugees by 2010. The sea level would rise by many meters, destroying the vast majority of the world's great cities.
And their demands were ignored, and now they expect us to panic because, on very questionable evidence, they posit a 2 degree temperature rise over 120 years.
What the climate cultists cannot comprehend is that the claim that the scientific community of TODAY can meaningfully and accurately measure the global temperature TODAY - never mind a century past from proxies - is extremely questionable. Many great lions of science scoff at the claim. And most of those scientists are "elder statesmen" of the science community - people with Nobel Prizes and reputations that insulate them from character assassination. It's the folks still trying to make a name, still scrambling for grant money, who keep their mouths shut, because they know they will be politically and professionally destroyed if they dare speak truth to power.
