1. Post what list the AR 15 semi automatic sports rifle is listed in. Military or civilian.
Answer. The Colt Sporter and IT'S variants is the AR 15 mentioned at the beginning of the article I gave you. It a semi automatic rifle with a different design for civilians and law enforcement. It is a one trigger squeeze/on shot rifle. It is on the civilian list because it was not designed for the battlefield. It was designed so that M16 parts could not swapped into the weapon to make a select fire rifle.
2. Post the year range that the AR 15 Semi Auto sports rifle was standard issue in the military to infantryman.
Answer. The AR 15 Semi Auto sports rifle (Sporter) was NEVER standard issue in the military to infantry to be carried into battle.
It has been fun revisiting this. What is I posted is fact and supported by the source I gave you.

In order to prevent a civilian semi-automatic AR-15 from being readily converted for use with the select fire components, Colt changed a number of features. Parts changed include the lower receiver, bolt carrier, hammer, trigger, disconnector, and safety/mode selector. The semi-automatic bolt carrier has a longer lightening slot to prevent the bolt's engagement with an automatic sear. Due to a decrease in mass the buffer spring is heavier.
