"Try to get past your passionate ignorance and learn to accept what actually happened." ~ brown's unheeded words of wisdom My dad passed away in a nursing home ($8,000/month) in March of 2023 and is still getting a huge pharmaceutical bill from a private company that we never used. I got his most expensive drug (pradaxa) from a Canadian pharmacy. The night before he died (he had a stroke) the nursing home sent him to the hospital ER right across the street by ambulance. Their bill was $2000.00 and was not covered by Medicare.ROG62 » Today, 9:50 am » wrote: ↑ seriously? why are you getting the bills?
a couple I know in TX where he died of pancreatic cancer…she received an unpaid bill of 50+k…she stated he was dead…and never heard from them again…

Surely your grandson received a birth certificate within 24-48 hours of being born. That is the main document most people use to prove citizenship.JohnnyYou » Today, 1:07 am » wrote: ↑ How did the SAVE Act thread get derailed to Save Our Souls?
You're born you're dead. I just don't think a massive conehhead quantity of illegal votes are out there as claimed. My grandson has had an SSN within a month of birth. That should be enough ID to vote.
The phooks have had five years to prove the 2020 election was stolen. Obama Care is still there 10 years after. Now the MAGA shyt has us in a global war and protecting pedophilia and the Epstien Class.
LOL.. I am succumbing to geriactricism., I think I know what to do. 35% Penalty is on. I am considering getting the SSB's while they still exist.Fuelman » 25 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ Surely your grandson received a birth certificate within 24-48 hours of being born. Can you give us your common sense version of why dead people should stay on the voter rolls?
I find it amusing Schumer and Jeffries think the 75% of the Democrats that support voter ID are idiots and stupid.
The max early SS retirement penalty is 30% at age 62.JohnnyYou » Today, 8:59 am » wrote: ↑ LOL.. I am succumbing to geriactricism., I think I know what to do. 35% Penalty is on. I am considering getting the SSB's while they still exist.
I created an acount but there is no way to prove online in the modern era that my SSN is actually alive and kicking without going to the SS Office. The dumb azzes just gave me a pretty god tax return.
There was something about the post office could do it. Bro is in hospice with us at home, he is our two man lift duty, I am tethered to the house. An hour and half to go to town is hard to find right now. All I wanted was my benefits statement today to start considering the option. I guess it's safe to talk about here because Pedro won't be able to steal my identity. Maybe the in person thing isn;t so bad for everyone, and just an incovenience for me at the moment.
Bureaucratic hoops. Trump is not reducing them.. That costs money. Someone physically has to staff the office that is prbably 100 miles away from people in rural areas.. They wont have enough gas money to get their retirement.
It really doesn't matter. The reset is coming and money will be useless. LIQT ain't around.. He must be scramblng through his hedges in hi anxiety.. Elon done shyt his bed bad.

It is a little more difficult to log into SS these days but definitely seems more secure. Took me a couple of times to get it done with the SS App on phone. Selfie and picture of drivers license. I already knew what the number was approximately as I checked it since I was 50.
Personally, I would take it as soon as possible. I have little faith in politicians fixing this train wreck.
I totally get the burden of caring for a family member. Mom turns 86 in June, perfect health, no medications, just a mind going to mush. We pretended there was an emergency and she needed to call me. She couldn't do it. Yes, I definitely limit the time I'm gone from the house.
Politics aside, Family comes first!
The math says take the money at 62…the break even point for me was 83 if I would have waited the 4yrs 4 months to get full benefits…Fuelman » 12 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ The max early SS retirement penalty is 30% at age 62.

Yeah, it does make sense. If they shut SS down I hope they give us a lump sum. I was not a super whimp at making money but I could have produced more tax revenue and not enjoyed so much dining out.
Man, if they had allowed Cannabis in my Bloodstream I might have gotten on the Submarine back in the day. The drug tests hampered my ability to be a high payer into the kitty my entire career. I was capable, they just feared that Nancy Regan would haunt them I guess.
I sure hope THC doesn't ruin young peoples futures. It's a shame it was all about locking up young black males in prisons for profit. I could fly a Space Shuttle stoned as Snoop Dog.

It is unfortunate that a lot of people just don't have the choice financially to take it early.ROG62 » 23 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ The math says take the money at 62…the break even point for me was 83 if I would have waited the 4yrs 4 months to get full benefits…
besides, making it to 83 is a stretch for anyone, much less, longer…

How much can I make a year and not lose benefit? Ahh the income cap..
It's designed to get us out of the way for the next wave of money makers F..
It would be in my interest to help the youngsters make money and pay for my welfare with strong wages and thus high tax revenues.
But then it all goes to shyt when AI makes everything.
Lots to learn.
