"Try to get past your passionate ignorance and learn to accept what actually happened." ~ brown's unheeded words of wisdom I have always preferred "loquacious." Fluent and evocative are a bit much to ax- but loquacious is a fair middle ground from which I will square my narrow shoulders and jut my little chin.

It is now clear to me; I understand the reason behind your behavior as a lamentable representation of an adult.ROG62 » 25 Feb 2026, 9:18 am » wrote: ↑ Mothers…so cruel at times…
there was an abandoned house across the alley from our house…a buddy of mine and I had the “bright” idea of climbing up on the roof. Without a ladder, we decided to go up via the double hung broken out window… of course, as I’m going up, I slipped and cut my elbow on the glass, peeling a quarter size slab of skin that required 13 stitches. Once I saw the blood, I started screaming like the little girl I was and went running home. She must’ve heard me because she came around the house meeting me halfway…she told me to settle down and grabbed my arm to look. Of course then I went into a high pitched screech to which she rolled up and slapped the scream off my face while yelling “SHUT UP!!!”…at 8 yo, I was emotionally devastated by that move…it still hurts…

When I was 8, I was working as a roughneck in the oil patch. I took over in the same position where my dad had been killed.ROG62 » 25 Feb 2026, 9:18 am » wrote: ↑ Mothers…so cruel at times…
