The United States receives about 500,000 barrels of oil per day through the Strait of Hormuz, which is only about 2.5% of its total oil imports. Most of the U.S. oil supply comes from domestic production and other sources.

You got a neural deficit disorder ROG.. We use 20 Million Barrels a Day..  The most we ever made was 13.4 Billion barrels a day.
Trump is going to fill our Strategic Oil Reserve with Russian Oil. This gives Putin revenue to fight the war.  Ukraine flew 1000 miles almost to Finland and took out a major oil field yesterday.  Enormous fireball and smoke today. It is where the Russian Oil would have been shipped from to us.

The United States consumes approximately 20.25 million barrels of petroleum per day. In 2023, this totaled about 7.39 billion barrels of petroleum. While the U.S. is the world's top oil producer (producing over 13 million barrels of crude daily in 2024), it still imports oil to meet high demand, particularly for transportation.

And the oil that doesn't go through the Srait to other people raises the price for    the 7 million barrels we import everyday.

Economics is a tough subject.  Neither you nor I really know wha the **** is going on.Unfortunately niether does Trump.  His dementia is getting out of hand for sure.
