EVERY STATE has their OWN Gerrymandering laws, and some go back to 1812 !  It's up to EACH state to implement their Gerrymandering in accordance with the laws of the state where it's being done... From what I've seen, that's EXACTLY what's been happening... 

It's JUST that Democrats have already gerrymandered MULTIPLE states to maximize their power... CA, IL, NJ, & others... and republicans are only NOW fighting back... SO, it was NEVER a problem BEFORE, BUT, it IS NOW?

How do you know it backfired? You define life by relative time theology, not your personal time adapting in space daily here where you exist in ever changing form since conception just like anyone else living forward so far within their ancestral lineage like you do in yours.

see in actual time evolving, Trump is trying to get the Iranian population to change their mind, but they won't, just like you won't. HA!!  Democrats have been DOING THAT for 50 YEARS (since they got approval to gerrymander for RACIAL purposes in the '60's)... not to mention recently JUST Gerrymandering because they COULD, and without ANY CONSTRAINTS !  BUT NOW... Democrats are COMPLAINING about it ?
