Validity: While sometimes perceived as improper, they are not inherently illegal if everyone listed is, in fact, entitled to the award. However, regulations require that a soldier must be personally present and under hostile fire while serving in an infantry role.
STFU
@Blackvegetable
You were using it to claim everyone in a unit would receive it. There is no such thing. Only those who were actively in combat would get one. You just hate the fact that Hegseth actually earned it.Blackvegetable » 04 May 2026, 1:47 pm » wrote: ↑ You said there was no such thing.
You lied.
Now you want to tell me about it.
You lied..Huey » 04 May 2026, 1:48 pm » wrote: ↑ @Blackvegetable
Requirements for Valid CIB Awarding:Go argue with the army.
- Individual Qualification: The soldier must be an infantry/Special Forces MOS, assigned to an infantry unit, and actively engaged in ground combat.
- Documentation: Unlike medals, the CIB often uses "extract" orders covering several members.

Now you want to explain what you didn't know.
It's why I don't bother..
Bull ****. There is no such thing as blanket CIB orders that would award a CIB to an entire unit of soldiers who did not engage in combat.Blackvegetable » 04 May 2026, 1:51 pm » wrote: ↑ There is...
That is the point.
Admit that you lied about blanket cibs...

Meaning he was proximate to combat as it was defined in Iraqnam....

I did what I had to.
How would you know?correctly
I didn't lie. Even under the blanket CIB orders the recipients had to actively participate in combat. Which is the argument. Not just hear it, not just be near it, not just in a unit they are assigned to a combat zone. You can not award it to someone who was not actively engaged in ground combat. Meaning Hegseth was actively engaged in ground combat. Contrary to YOUR lie.
Because I have actually posted sources that tell you. Like the army:Blackvegetable » 04 May 2026, 2:02 pm » wrote: ↑ I did what I had to.
Now you must confess that you lied.
How would you know?
Post the rule.
The blanket cib you repeatedly asserted doesn't exist?
You lied..
