he recent appeals concern the second trial. A separate jury ordered Trump to cough up $83.3 million for defaming Carroll in denying her story when she first came forward.
Carroll, who insists Trump’s appeals are meritless, did not object to the delay as long as the president increases his bond by $7.5 million to account for additional interest he’ll owe, if unsuccessful.
The 2nd Circuit agreed in a brief order issued Monday.
“We are pleased that the Second Circuit conditioned the stay on President Trump posting a bond of nearly $100 million — increasing the $91,630,000 bond he originally posted by another $7,462,492.74 to account for the accruing post-judgment interest,” Roberta Kaplan, Carroll’s attorney, said in a statement.T

The 2nd Circuit rejected his request for an en banc hearing, after rejecting his appeal.
Now he wants to run to SCOTUS...Carroll doesn't mind as long as he puts up more cash.
Would you care to explain how a supposedly "impartial" judge and jury could find Trump guilty when she tells such a bogus story?*Roshambo » 15 May 2026, 11:55 am » wrote: ↑ Trump was found guilty by a jury of his peers and then he ran his mouth recklessly. He is going to pay. Oh yes he is.
You approve of rape and defamation.

She must have had one of those silent rape moments.Zeets2 » 15 May 2026, 12:41 pm » wrote: ↑ Would you care to explain how a supposedly "impartial" judge and jury could find Trump guilty when she tells such a bogus story?
She can't remember the day, the date, the time, or even the year of her phony allegation, so how can an innocent man possibly defend himself?
She told no one in authority of the alleged attack when she claims it happened, not any of the security guards at Bergdorf Goodman, not the fitting room attendant who is stationed just a few steps away and heard and saw nothing, not any of the hundreds of shoppers in this crowded Manhattan store, not a policeman on 5th Avenue as she left, and chose not to file a police report of the incident.
The fix was in from the corrupt Biden DOJ and the deep state that spent years attempting their treasonous coup against Trump to try to prevent him from running again in 2024, a strategy that failed miserably since Trump not only ran again but won in a landslide, proving that most voters didn't believe a word of her ****, and if justice is to be served, the fraudulent "conviction" will be overturned by the Supreme Court in the near future, leaving you idiots once again with both hands full of nothing but dog ****.

And the jury, with a much lower bar concerning burden of proof, did not find him liable for rape.Blackvegetable » 15 May 2026, 12:56 pm » wrote: ↑ IT....WAS....A...JURY...TRIAL...., YOU....BRAINDEAD....LUMP....OF...****...
The jury found in favor of the plaintiff.....the award was 2 million exactly because the jury considered the act alleged to be rape, irrespective of the legal definition of that jurisdiction.Huey » 15 May 2026, 12:58 pm » wrote: ↑ And the jury, with a much lower bar concerning burden of proof, did not find him liable for rape.

You should actually read the Jury Finding Form some day.
Was it a reverse class action lawsuit?Blackvegetable » 15 May 2026, 1:17 pm » wrote: ↑ They found him liable for the act alleged.
That act is broadly defined as Rape.
It is the reason they awarded a multiple of the amount usually seen in cases of Sexual Assault.
You should read the court record.
