What is at issue is the VERDICT.
It is the VERDICT from which Team Grifty petitioned for relief.
It did so on specific grounds.
You should learn what they are.

For the specific act alleged.....digital penetration.
They awarded 2 million because they considered it an act of rape....
It is the SPECIFIC argument made in Team Grifty's petition.
And rejected by Kaplan in UPHOLDING the jury award.

Well I've BEEN to the Manhattan Bergdorf Goodman and seen the crowds in the store that would have responded to ANY cries of help or screamed rape from a fitting room that has a worker stationed at the entrance just a few steps away! I've seen the number of security guards they employ in the store and know that it would have been virtually impossible for this bitch to exit from the 6th floor without passing one! And if she did, she walked out of the store ON 5th AVENUE IN MANHATTAN, one of the busiest and most secure places on earth, and could have engaged numerous NYPD cops in the area if she truly was the victim of such a crime.*Roshambo » 15 May 2026, 1:23 pm » wrote: ↑ I believe her, unless you were there, you have no business challenging her recollection.

This is a typical crowd in and around the Bergdorf Goodman Manhattan store. Just because YOU live in some Podunk town still shopping at their General Store that doesn't have any security, it doesn't mean that one of the busiest stores on one of the busiest streets in the world doesn't provide intense security for the wealthiest shoppers in the world:

You probably visited the men's room at Manhattan Bergdorf Goodman to engage in homosexual relations. Our winter residence is in Big Bay Michigan. We enjoy the tranquility of the UP, the snow, snowmobiling, and a host of other winter activities. Where we shop is no concern of yours.
Analyze the pattern
The FBI Interviews: The Department of Justice (DOJ) released summaries of four 2019 FBI interviews with an anonymous female victim. She alleged that Epstein transported her to New York/New Jersey at age 13 and introduced her to Trump, who she claims assaulted her in a tall building.
The Allegations: She alleged that Trump ordered everyone out of the room, forced her head to his penis, and struck her in the head when she bit him in self-defense.

The pool of jurists for the trial were all from Manhattan, which is why the venue should have been moved outside of the city, if the intention was to obtain an impartial jury.Blackvegetable » 16 May 2026, 11:46 am » wrote: ↑
Maybe that was the problem....none of the jurors had been to Manhattan...

It was not, because the fix was in.
which is why the venue should have been moved outside of the city, if the intention was to obtain an impartial jury.

Which they, entirely irrespective of NY criminal code, were free to sanction as they deemed fit.
