"Try to get past your passionate ignorance and learn to accept what actually happened." ~ brown's unheeded words of wisdom I listened to a congressman or senator the other day talking about this…in regards to one of his across the line constituents, he stated they don’t agree on a lot of issues which is quite apparent in chamber or public press conferences, however, in private, they go to bars together and mull stuff over dinner and drinks all the time…he says most of the public stuff is for pomp, circumstance and party credibility…Vegas » 17 May 2026, 8:41 pm » wrote: ↑ That is not normal acceptable human behavior. People do that at work all the time, including me. I don't have to like somebody to be able to work with them. Working with people you hate is a sign of maturity. This is not just some 'tiff' they have. This is them calling for imprisonment. Accusations of treason. Other accusations that would land a normal person in prison for life, if guilty. They are calling for serious investigations on each other. That is not the same as just professional differences.

Democratic state representatives in Minnesota staged an overnight sit-in in their house chamber on Thursday after the Republican speaker failed to put a gun violence prevention bill up for a vote.Samantha Sencer-Mura, a Democratic representative from MN, first announced the plan on Wednesday from the floor of the state’s house of representatives, giving the speaker, Lisa Demuth, a candidate for governor, 24 hours to give the bill a vote before the sit-in would start. The sit-in began around 9pm local time. Lawmakers intend to stay until the house comes back in session, which is set for Saturday at noon. The leader of the Tennessee House of Representatives punished Democrat lawmakers for protesting during debate over an electoral map that would eliminate the state’s lone Democrat congressional seat. House Speaker Cameron Sexton sent letters to Democrats on Tuesday, kicking them out of their committees for their behavior during debates on redrawing congressional maps to split Memphis into three Republican-favorable electoral districts. During debate on the House floor, Democrat lawmakers broke decorum and rules of order as leftist activists flooded the state Capitol building in Nashville to protest. Protesters flooded the state Capitol building with noise makers, and the House gallery had to be cleared as activists disrupted floor proceedings.
