There’s no giant public spreadsheet of payouts, but yes, Slack Jaw, multiple Jan. 6 defendants have been compensated. Babbitt’s family got nearly $5 million. Several detainees got settlements after a federal judge ruled the D.C. jail violated their rights. Some people held on charges that were later thrown out got paid. A few wrongful‑death and injury claims were settled. A lot of the settlements are sealed, but the payouts absolutely exist.
