Neither private nor government run rental sector has a monopoly on neglect.

Unless it's Instigated by a CORRUPT and SOCIALIST government, where it was the GOAL all along to STEAL property from the rightful owners, by instigating a TRAP... where:

1)  Rent Control would constrain owner profits, but
2)  Inflation would CONTINUE to raise owner costs, until
3)  The economics would NO LONGER allow property maintenance, and
4)  A SOCIALIST Mayor could STEAL the property (legally) !!

WHICH is where we are TODAY in New York !!

Socialists would like to IMPLEMENT this model ALL OVER AMERICA... IF WE ALLOW IT !!
 

WHATS MORE... WE in America are actually LUCKY... because WE still have freedom of Speech, which the Socialists are slowly trying to TAKE AWAY !! In EUROPE, they have already LOST Freedom of Speech !!

In EUROPE, people are being put in JAIL for speaking the TRUTH, as THEY are ALSO being SUBVERTED by Socialist Governments... in Great Britain, in Belgium, in France... and EVEN in Canada !!

It's TIME TO FIGHT BACK... and SEND these SOCIALIST BASTARDS, and their SOCIALIST Instigators (mostly the CCP, and via Venezuela until recently)... into cells RIGHT NEXT to Maduro !!!

Well, I grew up poor (immigrant parents), and have lived in rentals in my life... but that was years ago.  I have owned for a LONG time now... and, with a number of years working hard, & working toward the American dream... I don't think I'll be living in rentals any ever again... fingers crossed !
