Exactly. The Jews are not our ambassadors to God. We don't need to go through them to get to God. Period. Only Jesus holds that title.

I feel more like Harald the Missionary (from the movie Erik the Viking) every time I see this stuff.

In the movie, Erik and Co. seek to enter Asgard but are terrified of the obstacles and the dead.
Harald does not believe in the viking superstitions and wanders about completely unaware of anything menacing.

Yes. Do you know how Christianity works? It's not about belonging to a specific religion and attending weekly gatherings in some buildings. A person can be a Christian their whole life and not once attend church, and still be a Christian.
