Stop reframing, Runny.  Answer the questions.

Have already answered those questions, Puss.  Just because you don't the FACT that is one family with multiple designs doesn't mean I am wrong.

Is the Colt Sporter on the military or civilian list?  What years was the Sporter standard combat issue in the US?

And how come you never link that?  While I do?  Another Puss move?

I'm not.  You are using my sources.

If you are not in conflict with your citations you should be able to say the following:

"Huey, the Colt Sporter does not appear on the military list because it is on the civilian list and it was never standard issue for a personal combat weapon.

This is you being shown you are in conflict with the sources you are using.  The colt shorter is not on the military list.  It was never combat issue.  That is why it is on the civilian list because it was not designed for combat.

Even after I answered your family and design question for the umpteenth time you still run like a puss from answering mine.  This should put to rest who runs from questions and who doesn't.

The Colt AR-15 is a product line of magazine-fed, gas-operatedautoloading rifles manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing Company ("Colt") in many configurations.[1] The rifle is a derivative of its predecessor, the lightweight ArmaLite AR-15, an automatic rifle designed by Eugene Stoner and other engineers at ArmaLite in 1956.

Here's an idea.

Come up with a credible source detailing a separate development of the "semi auto" AR-15.

I have traced this back to the original 2 dozen "Sporters".....they were the same weapon sold to the military - except they were modified to comply with ATF regs. These were distributed to members of the board at Colt to celebrate the 2nd order from the military.

The first order came from the Air Force, ca. 1962....for semi auto AR-15s.
