I do.  I drive 70 miles a day and like HYBRIDS. Not EVs.  I need less than 10 gallons a week of gas a week and avg in the 6 warm months around 55 mpg and the cold months around 50.  I did not get a tax break on any of the 3 Hybrids I have owned since 2008.

In the state of VA for EVs and Hybrids they have a highway use tax for EVs and Hybrids when you renew your registration.  It is about 65 bucks.  It cost me 115 bucks to register my car this year.

**** you dems.

I do recall the push..

I was not a supporter.

Until the grid is ready, it's a non starter.

The Quacker Barrel in SC had 9 Tesla Charging Stations..
One Tesla in a slot..

Biden bought those stations.

Tons of road construction on 95.. It looks like the infrastructure money has dried up and work has stopped or slowed to a crawl mid stream..

Maybe Trump clawed the funding back..

The confusion and narrow lanes must be killing people.

You and I agree.  The push should have been for Hybrids until the infrastructure was ready for all of the EVs the dems were pushing for.

If you are in the Bennett's Creek section of Suffolk let's have that beer on me.

EV’s are just another ruse by the greenies getting gubment to force that **** on automakers and the public putting the cart out of eyesight while the horse nibbles the grass…

hybrids are most definitely the way to go…

I've said that myself.
It's a decent transition-type vehicle with a bit of both worlds going.

Electrics are still overrated, though. Even the hybrids are limited.
The battery technology and supply chains are shaky.
Seriously, selling something that potentially holds your life in the balance that relies on rare earth and/or exotic elements?

When electrics are made with common materials and can operate in temperature extremes,
we've got something...  Image

It was 130$ for two years for my gas guzzler.

Wes Moore charges 130$ for one year now for registration..

Affordability is bipartisan..

All I can hope for is that neccesity brings invention..

There is no reinventing MAGA's eyes. They are laser focused on our failure and self destruction and don't even know it.
