Bummer…I went through that with my mother 20 years ago…while sad, it certainly was a blessing and glad that part of my life was over…

Thanks.  Yeah we understand the process very well.. We just libed it with Bro.. here in the house.

A big fear is that Mom will make a career of hospice and break Jimmy Carter's record.  We want to do it in a "home" for her (she thinks she is in a permanent hotel) but the DIY could last a super long time.

Givn the situation, I have ddecided to pursue part time hpefully mobile remote work and not break the cieling for the next three years.  I wanted to go back full time, but given the situation, that's not going to be the best solution.

500$ to fly one way..  4 hr total travel (SBY to SAV direct.. it's a new flight) or 250$ by train from BWI.. Mrs is also on board and we are aligned we have to step up to the plate because her care takers aren't.

The drive is 10 hours and only 160$ at 4$ a gallon in my truck, but man I just drove for three hours at a time on this trip and that is nerve working..   I used to be able to go 12 hours behind a wheel with no problem.

That’s quite steep…you thinking of going for the duration? What about getting her into a facility close to where you are?

I am the second closest to Sister at 700 miles.  I am kind of thinking maybe do the grid free motor home if someone will lease me a plot or we invest in an acre.

In any event.. I am officially retireded.. Ughhhh... It must have killed Murdock.
