On Saturday, it was announced that ABC and host George Stephanopoulos agreed to settle the claims at the center of Trump’s lawsuit against the network and one of its star anchors, who was sued for stating that Trump was found “liable for rape by a jury.”

Jean Carroll. Last year, a jury hearing a civil suit brought by Carroll found that Trump sexually abused and defamed her, but found Trump not liable for rape.

ABC and Paramount "settled" so they wouldn't lose much more in an extended trial where the evidence of what they lied about was crystal clear and a matter of public record, and the publicity that exposed their biased hatred for Trump would have severely hurt them!
