exactly
Found Jelly Roll's new biggest fan. A match made in heaven. A former drug addict who makes **** music that sounds exactly like everything else on the radio.
His music is indistinguishable from everything else that plays on modern "country" radio. It all sounds identical. It will never be seen as "classic" stuff. In 20-30 years from now, it will be as if it never existed.FatChecker » 7 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ If I did not listen to country radio, then I never would have heard of this guy. Some of his song lyrics are quite good, but I don’t know how much he contributes to his collaborations. It’s still too much “cross over” and pop culture for me, which is really his claim to fame.

It also depends on geography. I travel a lot. It is difficult, for example, to consistently find quality country on North Carolina radio. I pass the state line to Tennessee however, and find thoughtful and talented contemporary country artists on the radio.
