In public, Musk caters to the people about how dangerous AI may become if it is not regulated. Thereby, positioning himself as the man of the people who cares about humanity. Then he, along with other AI leaders speak with Trump to persuade him to block AI regulators. This guy is such a fraud. 

Billionaire tech CEOs Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and Jensen Huang spoke with President Donald Trump last month and convinced him to block efforts to establish an AI-industry-funded body to provide regulatory oversight and set standards for artificial intelligence companies, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, despite growing fears about AI safety.

Where do yopu get that I love any narcissism? I hate narcissists. That's why I dislike Trump and Musk. The point I am  making is that Musk knows how to deceive you and others like you. He does a damn good job of it. I don't call that free enterprise.

Every penny he made was from taxpayers. He got rich off of you and I. It began with Tesla. Tesla was not profitable. It wasn't profitable for years. The only reason it stayed above water was due to government subsidies. It's now worth over a trillion dollars. No other private company in the fortune 500 needed to rely on taxpayers.

I made money and so did millions of American's either themselves or through retirement plans and other investments

I'm up on several hundred shares of SpaceX and plan to add more if the price goes down....as far as I'm concerned this money is dead money to me....a little present for my kids after I'm gone....in the meantime the present get larger and I love it love it love it

"Free enterprise" is found when you go to a local flea market...or some red light district with lots of h0e$...certainly not within those capable of beguiling clueless / hapless MAGATs while quietly taking taxpayer money (and it's not just limited to Musk, look at all those contracts granted to companies like Boeing, LMT, etc.) ...

What Has Musk Said About AI Safety Recently?

Last week, Musk questioned and mocked a series of viral X posts made by Jacob Coxon, an ex-Anthropic researcher, who quit the company and raised alarm about AI-driven human extinction over the next decade. Musk said the posts seemed like a ‘setup and argued that this was a spark that followed “groundwork” for a “psy op (for lack of a better term),” presumably against AI. But when Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei issued warnings about AI safety and called for “pacing” the development of frontier AI models and better coordination on safety, Musk wrote, “Dario is right.” However, unlike Anthropic and OpenAI, Musk’s SpaceXAI has not laid out any plans to coordinate or pace frontier AI model development.

What I find even more interesting is the fact that democrats “now” seem to have no problem with data centers, the water wasted and the amount of electricity to power those monstrosities along with the amount of land they consume…

Whatever happened to “green energy and the environment”?

It isn't so much about government contracts. Private companies contract with the government all the time. Our roads, bridges, freeways, libraries...etc...are mostly built by private companies with our money. No big deal. The difference is that the government funded infrastructure provides a public benefit. The ROI is profitable for the taxpayer. We invest our taxes and in return the taxpayer gets benefits from it such as the infrastructure. The private companies profit. Good. They are providing a good service for the public. However, Tesla does nothing for the public. Nothing.  The taxpayer gets 0 ROI. Yet, Musk gets billions.
