"Try to get past your passionate ignorance and learn to accept what actually happened." ~ brown's unheeded words of wisdom Most people who work these days have no problems with income. Things have gone up 4-5 times in price in 25 years.
Old people are getting way **** over. Retirement savings stripped of value.

Exclusive of taxes at withdrawal you'd need a NOMINAL annual return of 8.3%.DeezerShoove » Yesterday, 11:47 pm » wrote: ↑ Wages increase but that really doesn't change anything for fixed income folks.
Except for allowing prices to rise incrementally yet again.
I've had this discussion more than once with fixed income people.
That $200 set of tires (10 hours of work @ $20/hr) put into the retirement account 20+ years ago.
That set costs $1000 now.
The question is whether real return on the $200 in 20 years was 500%.

But, of course, you knew that..
But for the 8 years of George Bush Jr. you could have made it comfortably..DeezerShoove » Today, 12:07 am » wrote: ↑ So that is all over the place. Every bank savings account pays that? No.
Real return for 25 years of 8.3% seems a bit aggressive.

It's weird, I lived my life taught Marxism was bad. I now learn he was just the Sole Result of his time.. Marx only made predictions and warnings.. He had no solutions.. But sure as hell his predictions fit today like a glove.
Elon thinks money will cease to exist.. I am sure Karl Marx is cheering him on from wherever he is. If getting rid of currency and shaking the monetary system to its core isn't **** nothing is..
I asked my Star Trek Food Replicator to make a gallon of gas. The machine blew up..
