Clem made it sound like Clinton got away with Obstruction of Justice, and I was just reminding him that he did not get away with it because he was impeached for it.
Of course I know that he was not convicted in the Senate, because he remained in office.

Given his crimes, abuse of power and impeachable acts, he should have been removed from office.
But your party protected him.

Republicans were the majority party in the Senate at the time (55) and only 45 voted for conviction on the perjury charge, and 50 on the obstruction charge.


So it looks like some members in your party were 'protecting' him.
