Nov. 20, 2018 - WASHINGTON — President Trump told the White House counsel in the spring that he wanted to order the Justice Department to prosecute two of his political adversaries: his 2016 challenger, Hillary Clinton, and the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey, according to two people familiar with the conversation.
The lawyer, Donald F. McGahn II, rebuffed the president, saying that he had no authority to order a prosecution.
Mr. McGahn said that while he could request an investigation, that too could prompt accusations of abuse of power.
To underscore his point, Mr. McGahn had White House lawyers write a memo for Mr. Trump warning that if he asked law enforcement to investigate his rivals, he could face a range of consequences, including possible impeachment.

Manafort: Five counts of filing false tax returns, two counts of bank fraud, one count of failing to disclose a foreign bank account, conspiracy to defraud the United States, failing to register as a foreign agent, money laundering, witness tampering and making false statements.
That doesn't count the 16 felony charges he still faces in the state of New York including residential mortgage fraud, and a yearlong scheme in which he allegedly falsified business records to obtain millions of dollars in loans.
Cohen: Five counts of tax evasion, one count of making false statements to a financial institution, one count of willfully causing an unlawful corporate contribution, one count of making an excessive campaign contribution at the request of a candidate (Trump) for the "principal purpose of influencing [the] election" and one count of lying to Congress.![]()

During the 2016 election, Cohen paid $130,000 to adult film actress Stephanie Clifford, known as Stormy Daniels, and arranged for a publishing company to pay $150,000 to model Karen McDougal for her story in exchange for the women agreeing to not go public with allegations that they had affairs with Trump.
Prosecutors said the purpose of the hush payments was to influence the 2016 election, and treated them as campaign contributions, which are subject to restrictions under the Federal Election Campaign Act.
Cohen’s payment to Clifford, they said, exceeded the $2,700 limit on personal contributions to a single candidate for an election.
The payment he helped arrange for McDougal flouted the ban on corporations contributing directly to campaigns.

The FBI Just Dropped New Documents On Hillary Clinton And They Are Really Bad
Posted at 6:00 pm on June 8, 2019 by Bonchie
Late Friday night, we got a document dump from the FBI dealing with the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s illegal email server.
While we’ve already gotten ample evidence that she absolutely should have been charged for her mishandling of classified information, these latest revelations are still pretty mind-blowing. After you read them, you are left asking yourself how it was possible that she wasn’t indicted.
Well, we know why.https://twitter.com/JordanSchachtel/sta ... lly-bad%2FJordan Schachtel

-FBI concludes Hillary Clinton was in "violation of basic server security" w/ home-brew server.
-Discusses possibility that *all* of her emails were stolen.
-Review found HRC stripped classification of highest possible level.

This part is INSANE. Sidney Blumenthal attempted to leverage his relationship with Hillary to get her to hand over a classified intelligence file that contains a "roadmap" to a $30 billion fortune.

Starting with Hillary’s actions, her criminality isn’t even in doubt anymore. Stripping highly classified materials of their markings and then pushing them out via unapproved means is illegal. Nowhere in the statute is their a requirement for “intent” nor could any serious person argue she didn’t intend to do what she actively chose to do.
While we already knew that, it’s pretty amazing to see that even the FBI was admitting it at the time. Shortly after, the full whitewash would go into effect.
The revelations about Sidney Blumenthal are even crazier.....
There’s even evidence of Hillary’s involvement in the start of the Trump-Russia hoax in these documents....
If this were a Republican, it’d be a massive scandal. But because we are dealing with Democrats, the media won’t touch this stuff.

MARK MEADOWS: FBI KNEW ‘WITHIN 60 DAYS’ THAT RUSSIA PROBE WAS ‘BUILT ON A FOUNDATION OF SAND’
11:38 AM 06/08/2019 | US
Chuck Ross
North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows said Friday night that the FBI knew within 60 days of opening the Trump-Russia probe that the investigation was “built on a foundation of sand.”
“Within 60 days of them opening the investigation, prior to [Robert] Mueller coming on, the FBI and the [Department of Justice] knew that Christopher Steele was not credible, the dossier was not true, George Papadopoulos was innocent,” Meadows said on Fox News’s “Hannity.”
“When you look at that foundation, it’s all built on a foundation of sand. That’s going to start to show up soon,” the Republican said.
