Yesterday on the WH lawn, before his trip to Dayton and El Paso, the orange skidmark said this when asked if he would be willng to tone down his hateful divisive rhetoric:

"I think we have toned it down.
These (Democrats) are people that are looking for political gain.
I don't think they're getting it, and as much as possible I've tried to stay out of that.
I think my rhetoric brings people together."

It's a miracle that he wasn't immediately struck by lightning.
