Ruggedly handsome.      I don't know.       What I liked about him was his lean, mean,
clean, in your face, tough guy, personality.

Yes, when I was growing up.........I wanted to be just like him.

Cool Hand Luke is one of the great movies of all time. Loved the scene of the girl washing her car knowing the prisoners were watching her.  Image

Surprising that no one mentioned Robert Redford.
He is a good looking guy, but really not my type.
Too clean cut.
I like them a little rough around the edges.

I watched a lot of Westerns with my father when I was a kid.
I had a crush on this guy.

That is interesting.
I have not run into that opinion very often.
Boone played the bad guy in my favorite movie(out of 10,000).........Hombre.
He played the part of a mean, tough, bastard......and he played his part very well.
I hope Boone made a million dollars on that movie.    He did a great, great job.

Boone says to Newman (at the end of the movie)---
"Well now.      What do you suppose Hell is going to look like?".

Newman replies,
"We all die.      It is a question of when".
(Then they have their gun-fight).
:)

I watched a lot westerns too. When I was a kid I would get toy guns for Christmas. Mostly it was cowboy guns but some years I got police guns. A funny story. Once not long ago I turned to Gunsmoke when two of my grandsons were at my house. One of them, I think he was six at the time, said “what’s this”? I had to explain the old west to him. He had no clue. He was fascinated with the show though.

I watched that as well. Interesting tidbit, Chuck Connors played in the MLB and NBA before he started acting.

I knew about the MLB. I didn't know about the NBA. The Winchester he used in the show belonged to him. I heard he left it to his son.

Few people know that Mr. Connors had a time machine. The show was set in the 1880's and the Winchester was an 1892 model.

Robert Redford.
1.  Jeremiah Johnson.
2.  The Electric Horseman.
3.  The Sting.

I have all 3 in my collection.
Redford is a good cowboy.       He understands the game.

Have a nice day, cowgirl.
