Although I mostly agree with you, there are nuances that I think you're missing.  Power is never static, and the source of power changes with different values, culture, popular notions, etc...

There are always certain things that will provide power, such as the threat of physical force, and highly specialized expertise/knowledge in a vital field.  The cop frame will always have power, as will the doctor frame.  The doctor frame is so powerful, it outranks dictators at times.  Stalin for example, in fading health near the end of his life, would have to submit to the orders of physicians for his own good.  He wants to attack the west, they tell him to take a pill and have a nice nap, he obeys but is pissed off about it, hence the sudden persecution he launched against them https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctors%27_plot

In ancient Japan, a huge source of power was derived from something so stupid as making a perfect tea ceremony.

the MOST fundamental aspect of power is persuasion.

even the paradigm of physical force is about persuasion. You persuaded your soldier to follow orders of using force.

And your sort of 'expert' power is another aspect of persuasion...XYZ is true sort of thing. 

XYZ is the will of god is another...and much of liberalism is based on that...'we have been endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights'...requires you believe that creator for this to persuade, however...

but there is actually MORE nuance that i think is important to point out, which is the single most important reason I consider national socialism to be the ideal form of government: Power is ALSO fundamentally connected to cooperation and altruism/self-sacrifice. That is how a state, more than a merely 'mutually beneficial contract'...is also the collective expression of the will to power of a people.

and the most ancient source of cooperation comes from genetic similarity...as a mother cares for their child, so do people of the same race and ethnicity see their destinies as necessarily linked. The most authentic version of a sense of shared destiny is exactly what will produce the most cooperation and the most ideal government...which will by nature overcome various problems such as class warfare.

And it is, indeed, simply a decision to not interfere with biological instinct. Humans know how to form ideal societies via evolved instinct, just like a tribe of chimpanzee or a pride of lions, etc. It will be based genetic similarity, because that is what nature selects for.

dude...you have the opposite idea of the NSDAP than the reality. He didnt need to coerce anyone. I think there has never been a country were citizens were more loyal than in nazi germany. Maybe paraguay.
