Go **** yourself and get back to me.
It's because of his compulsive lying and the acceptance of that by the Republican Party that we now have people like George Santos (if that is indeed his real name) emboldened to run for office.Mrkelly » 16 Jan 2023, 9:38 am » wrote: ↑ You gotta admit, tRump using a sharpie to try to prove his point was some funny ****
As soon as the docs were discovered? You mean Biden didn't even know he had those docs. That would be the Former Guy.
As soon as the documents were discovered Biden turned them over to the National Archives.
So??? He still broke the law... and tried covering it up. You treat trump one way and Biden the other? Not going to work.Misty » 16 Jan 2023, 11:23 am » wrote: ↑ Biden is not the one who delayed responding to the National Archives’ repeated requests for months, then failed to fully comply with a DOJ subpoena while falsely saying they he had.

I'm not saying that Biden handled this perfectly, but there are huge differences between the two cases.roadkill » 16 Jan 2023, 11:27 am » wrote: ↑As soon as the docs were discovered? And yes they did delay. Their were fully aware of the docs just days before the midterm.
You really are uninformed Misty.

Yes...the huge difference is Trump had the Presidential Records Act authority...Joe Biden did not.Misty » 16 Jan 2023, 11:38 am » wrote: ↑ I'm not saying that Biden handled this perfectly, but there are huge differences between the two cases.

The National Archives was not even aware that the Biden documents were missing.
In the Former Guy's case they were aware and were seeking the documents.
And he refused to turn over all of the documents, and lied to the DOJ saying that he had, which is why the executed a search on Mar-a-lago.
Also, Biden has never claimed that he has a right to possess any classified documents, or that he has magically declassified them.
I know you desperately want these two cases to be the same, but they are very different especially in the way both parties handled the situation.
One is fully cooperating with the investigation while the other has done everything to he could to obstruct it.
No, they do not, which is why his lawyers stopped the search as soon as they discovered classified documents.FJB » 16 Jan 2023, 11:40 am » wrote: ↑do his lawyers have security clearance?Misty » 16 Jan 2023, 11:38 am » wrote: ↑ I'm not saying that Biden handled this perfectly, but there are huge differences between the two cases.

They handled it by the book, why is a very far cry from how The Former Guy handled it.(WH lawyer ) Richard Sauber said in a statement Saturday that Biden’s personal lawyers, who did not have security clearances, stopped their search after finding the first page on Wednesday evening.
Sauber found the remaining material Thursday, as he was facilitating their retrieval by the Department of Justice.
“While I was transferring it to the DOJ officials who accompanied me, five additional pages with classification markings were discovered among the material with it, for a total of six pages,” Sauber said.
“The DOJ officials with me immediately took possession of them.”

Had the Former Guy done what Biden did, he might have gotten away with it.
But he obstructed the National Archives and the DOJ every step of the way.
He felt he had a right to keep those documents.
Intent matters and obstruction definitely matters.
