Meanwhile, over at the gun debate, your pal has stipulated that the Colt AR 15 is NOT a design, it is a variant - the good /bad news is that he thinks this brings his view into complete agreement with yours.

The point I made was that anything that came after Stoner's design is a variant of that design, and they are. 

You started our conversation saying that the M-16 was the design, and the semi auto civilian model was a "modified" M-16, which is completely wrong.

Both rifles in question are variants of Stoner's original design, and both variants were created for a specific purpose. One for for the civilian market, and the other for the military. Same design, different rifles.

I have a Bushy XM-15 (semi auto) in my safe that is a variant of Stoner's original design as well.



Does that make sense now?

Please tell me it does, because this got old hours ago.

Actually, as I have stated a hundred times, the track was across Fl in a northwest direction, going back over the gulf.  Then what?  Tell me?  It just dies?  Or does it do what hurricanes do when heading back over water@.  Strengthen again.

If you are staging for Florida, Alabama is a perfectly logical place to do it....

Not Montgomery.  To far.  Especially when the track is ove lake Ochachobee.  Savannah, Jacksonville, etc, are good spots.
