And apparently alter weather maps too.Trump told Sharpie to create a custom pen for him to sign important documents.
Trump is known for his signature writing tool — the Sharpie pen.
In fact, his thick and highly legible Sharpie scrawl has caused problems for the president in the past — giving away notes to his speech and making some of his private thoughts visible to the public.
Despite this, he has continued to use the Sharpie to sign executive orders, mark up drafts of important speeches, and add notes like "a teacher marking a quiz," Guardian writer Sam Wolfson wrote in July.

Trump took a sharpie to a weather forecast.

That's the point on Sept 1st all maps pointed to the fact that dorien stood a good chance of crossing Florida and entering the gulf.Misty » 04 Sep 2019 7:17 pm » wrote: I was not talking about the spaghetti model from August 28th.
And BTW have you seen what it says under that map?
The whole thing causes me nothing but confusion.
I am talking about the map that the POTUS held up TODAY.
In order to make it look like Trump was right when he Tweeted on Sept. 1st that Alabama would take a hit by Dorian, someone drew a line in black sharpie on this map from August 29th to make it look like the cone of the storm included Alabama.
NOAA does not update their maps in black sharpie.
But the POTUS is famous for using a black sharpie.
And apparently alter weather maps too.

This is all about Trump never being able to admit that he was wrong about anything.Trump used a spaghetti plot to explain why he falsely said Hurricane Dorian would hit Alabama.
Those charts shouldn't be read as forecasts.
Hurricane Dorian hovered over the Bahamas this weekend, wreaking havoc and killing at least 20 people before it approached the US southeast coast.
As of Wednesday evening, the storm was moving north near the Georgia coast and approaching the Carolinas, where forecasters expect it to bring hurricane conditions on Thursday and Friday.
On Sunday (Sept. 1st) as the storm was approaching the Bahamas, President Donald Trump warned on Twitter that Dorian could hit Alabama.
The National Weather Service, however, said unambiguously that Alabama was not in the storm's path.
During a 50-second live Twitter update about the hurricane on Wednesday (Sept. 4th), Trump presented an old map of Hurricane Dorian's predicted trajectory, which appeared to have been altered to show the storm heading towards Alabama.
Just a few hours later, Trump tweeted an image of a spaghetti plot from August 28, saying, "This was the originally projected path of the Hurricane in its early stages.
As you can see, almost all models predicted it to go through Florida also hitting Georgia and Alabama."
However, spaghetti plots do not show meteorological predictions of a storm's path.
They also do not reflect wind speeds, the factor that determines whether a storm is a tropical storm or a hurricane (and its category on the Saffir-Simpson scale).

You don't seem to.
This is all about Trump never being able to admit that he was wrong about anything.
No one was predicting when he Tweeted it on Sept.1st that Alabama was in Dorian's path.
In fact the national weather service corrected him on Twitter shortly after he Tweeted it.
And yet 3 days later he is still trying to make it look like Alabama was in danger of getting hit by Dorian.
The map he held up today (minus the sharpie mark that extended the cone of the storm to include Alabama) was from August 29th.Lucifershammer » 04 Sep 2019 7:37 pm » wrote:That's the point on Sept 1st all maps pointed to the fact that dorien stood a good chance of crossing Florida and entering the gulf.Misty » 04 Sep 2019 7:17 pm » wrote:I was not talking about the spaghetti model from August 28th.

Here is the NOAA map from August 29th.
And here is that same exact map when Trump held it up today in the Oval Office.
Notice anything different?
Here's a hint.
Do you actually think NOAA did that?

I don't know why you find it so hard to believe that a man who lies 20 times a day would not try to pull off a stunt like this.

We all know trump is a 3 year old. But his office subsumes the office of the weather bureau. If he alters a weather bureau map, the altered map is an authorized version. He's the boss of them. They serve at his pleasure. He's the chief executive. Altering a map, however unseemly and joke-worthy, is within his authority. Not a chargeable offense.Misty » 04 Sep 2019 7:28 pm » wrote: No one is saying that you have to hate him.

I don't either - the guy is transparently an empty suit. But I sure have fun defending him and making the girls cry.Lucifershammer » 04 Sep 2019 7:00 pm » wrote: I don't mind people trashing trump just be honest.
He was accused of being wrong about dorian hitting Alabama, but at the time of his briefing he was in fact correct. He got his *** jumped because he tweeted days ago that Alabama may be affected. So he posts an image showing that at the time he tweeted he was in fact right. Considering the storm isn't as big a news deal as they thought it would be jumped on this piece of bubble gum fluff hoping they had a gotcha moment and as usual they came off looking petty and dumb.Misty » 04 Sep 2019 8:21 pm » wrote: If that's what you think I said, then I guess you can't read.
He did NOT post an image.
He held up an altered map in the Oval Office.
This is what NOAA's forecast looked like on August 29th.
And this is what that same exact map from August 29th looked like today when Trump held it up in the Oval Office.
C'mon Lucifer.
Tell me that NOAA just recycles it's old maps and updates it's forecasts with a sharpie.
I dare you.

There are so many real problems with the guy why jump on some dumb gaffe to hope for some big gotcha moment. The conjobs did the exact same thing - a raucus "tan suit gate" thread started by *** jim recently celebrated the many over-reactions of the right to Obama's every move. How he bowed, what he wore, how much time he spent golfing - these were all fodder for the OMG-mill.Lucifershammer » 04 Sep 2019 8:30 pm » wrote: There are so many real problems with the guy why jump on some dumb gaffe to hope for some big gotcha moment.
