Trump may have broken federal law by altering Hurricane Dorian's path on a map.

Prolly because morons like you continue to claim (falsely) that he was wrong.
Yes Huey.
It's all my fault that the 73 year old president is frantically searching for cat videos to Tweet out at midnight, and airing his list of grievances every morning on the toilet at 6AM.

You Trumpettes get more ridiculous every day with your silly defenses of the toddler in the WH.

Yawn. Get a life, babe.

NOAA is being threatened not to contradict the president.
A NOAA meteorologist who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of retribution said the note, understood internally to be referring to Trump, came after the National Weather Service office in Birmingham contradicted Trump by tweeting Alabama would "NOT see any impacts from the hurricane."
For fear of retribution?
The agency sent a similar message warning scientists and meteorologists not to speak out on Sept. 4, after Trump showed a hurricane map from Aug. 29 modified with a hand-drawn, half-circle in black Sharpie around Alabama.
So they were also told to keep quiet about the altered map.

If in the future the president gets something wrong, it is their duty to correct him.
But they are being told not to.

I know.
You don't care.

So NOAA was warned not to contradict Trump's Tweets even if he was wrong.

The National Weather Service's Birmingham office had already refuted Trump's tweet before they got the memo and were thrown under the bus for it.

The orange skidmark has actually managed to politicize the weather now.
Politicians have sent up trial balloons for decades. That uses weather for politics. This is nothing new - let's keep it moving, folks.

This is not the same thing as using weather for politics.

I highly doubt that any administration has ever warned NOAA not to contradict the president, and to keep quiet if a president altered one of their official maps with a Sharpie.

Why am I always being accused of 'whining' and 'shrieking' and 'wailing?'
Because that's what all women with a strong opinion sound like to you and your buddy Clem?

If anyone is whining, it's you who has been going on for days about how Trump was right.

I have not seen one map from Sept. 1st, the day of his Tweet, that said that Alabama was going to get hit 'much harder than anticipated.'

If there was a map that showed that, then he would have held it up in the Oval Office instead of illegally taking a Sharpie to an official weather service map.

Something you think is okay, BTW.
