They've all had some some recent European blood, some more than others.
Recent, like within 3-4 generations or less.

Personalities vary widely. From aloof to cuddly.
They've all been fairly intelligent.

 luv the breed...  found them horribly handsome.. stocky.. built like  brick sheet house... sturdy had mini's and standards..
I wouldnt say mine weren't that smart...  used to joke... he's  just a dog... BUT
about a sweetness... I don't mean kisses.. I mean a quiet sweetness... 
I've had very smart dogs... this is different...
my ol man used t drop me off at the alt docs.. Take the dog.. lol come back and brag... I know how to pick up wimmin? take the cute dog..
I like labs too? but i really dont need three couches eaten.... and a few truck seats... and an entire mans work boot... and four hundred bucks? cute my arss?
