Not at all.  But you are aware, of course, that there are plenty of businesses who are able to take advantage of whichever way the political wind blows, aren't you?  Adjustments are made and business strategies refined to be successful in the coming couple of years where we will see a lengthy recession, higher taxes, additional stimulus funds, extended unemployment benefits, and reduced restrictions on the qualifications to receive the benefits while avoiding the damages the next administration will certainly inflict.  I've already set a couple of meetings to possibly establish a new business while spending the necessary time to protect my existing company.

I'm quite certain that I won't be harmed by the incoming Biden agenda.  Can you make the same claim as you watch your taxes increase, gas prices increase, unemployment skyrocket, wages sink, poverty numbers rise, and the country go through another prolonged recession like Obama/Biden gave us in '09?

Oh, so you're going to try to make the claim that the economy DIDN'T crash immediately after the day Obama was elected?

What you showed me is nothing more that proof that from the day Obama was elected in 2008, unemployment skyrocketed and didn't return to the same levels as when he took office until he left it 8 years later, giving us the slowest economic recovery from a recession in history.

What does that chart show YOU?

Not true. We were in a typical, cyclical recession in 2008 which would have lasted the average length of time (11 months) as any other recession.  All that happened when McCain suspended his campaign was an opportunity for a photo-op of a political decision that the McCain campaign made to try to show the world how much he cared about the country and gain votes by doing so.  He intended to show the country how he could rise above the election campaign to instead work toward resolving the minor crisis of a bank closure.  He failed miserably in that grandstanding attempt.
There was NO "collapse" of the economy until AFTER Obama was elected in November.  Not only that, there wasn't a single reference anywhere to the country being in a "great recession" PRIOR to that election!

Are you seriously trying to add your "expertise" in economics or business ownership to your minimal knowledge of spelling, punctuation, reading comprehension, and history?  That's an awfully long list of ignorance, don't you think?

Unemployment ALWAYS rises in a recession.  That's the key ingredient!  And yes, the market rose significantly and allowed the rich to get richer while the poverty level rose, we set record high levels for food stamp dependence, and black unemployment hit a record high of 17%.

Are you saying that the poor and middle class misery was insignificant during the Obama years because the rich did so well?

Not true.  The stock market isn't the sole indicator of a recession, and never has been.
If you're attempting to claim that the stock market crash at the end of Sept. 2008 was the beginning of the collapse, then you need to take into account the fact that the Dow dropped another 1400 points within a week after Obama's election.  What does THAT tell you?  It tell me that there were tens of thousands of other businesses like mine who were capable of reading the writing on the wall and took the same kind of actions that I took to save our businesses from the coming destruction.  Are you about to argue that I was wrong to do what I did at that time?

The Trump Economy belongs to.............President DJ Trump.   The highest Dow numbers ever.    Lowest unemployment in your lifetime.
11,000 point increase in the Dow during the 4yr. Trump span.      401k plans across the nation went up 50%-75%, and making the
hard-working middle class extremely happy.  And Obama?   Hussein did not have enough business acumen to run a hotdog cart
on a street-corner in Chicago.    He was only elected because of the color of his skin.    That is called bigotry in my book.

God-Bless DJ Trump and his international business experience !!

I'm at a loss to understand your point.  Is it that we really didn't go through the slowest recovery in history under Obama?  Or that we didn't have record high unemployment, record highs for poverty and food stamp reliance?  A housing market crash? The lowest labor participation rate in generations? $10 trillion in new debt?  Hundreds of billions in stimulus funds given by Biden (who was put in charge of it) to businesses that quickly went bankrupt after kicking back campaign "donations" to Obama? Was Obama not the first US president in history to keep us in war for his entire two terms?  How much was wasted with the incomparable failure of the Obamacare website?  Are you aware that the percentage of 18-34 year olds living with parents or family hit a 70-year high under Obama?  Or that he was the only two-term president to never have had yearly growth of 3% even once?  Or that we gained a record of over 2.5 MILLION new illegals under Obama?

So your opinion is that because the stock market rose and the rich got richer, none of the other facts matter?

Actually no. The reality is even worse than this. The 2008 recession was engineered.

Under the Clinton administration changes were made to the CRA (community reinvestment act) to make it explicity racial.

Basically the assumption was that banks don't give loans to vlacks because of racist redlining. Therefore banks were forced to give more loans to more blacks regardless of credit score.

Obviously there were people who knew from the start exactly what the outcome of this would be. In fact they made good money from short selling financial stocks.

I do not really agree with the 'General wisdom' that recessions are some inevitable cycle. They are always caused by something. And many of the people who create the conditions that cause a recession know damn well what they are doing.

Basically the 2008 crash was a conspiracy from large banks to consolidate their power and eat up smaller banks.

MY POINT.

As I already proved to you using your own chart, that the stock market dropped precipitously starting on the day Obama was elected, and now you think that a chart showing how GDP growth ALSO CRASHED in the last two months of 2008 after Obama was elected and continued into the first two quarters of '09?  Are you intentionally trying to prove you're wrong once again, because that's exactly what your chart shows?
So what we have here is the proof that the market sank and the GDP crashed right after Obama was elected, and you've already seen how badly jobs crashed in Nov. and Dec and well into 2009, but you still maintain that Obama and the stupid policies that he had promised had nothing to do with it?
I guess that makes me a genius for being able to forecast what we were facing so accurately and taking the necessary actions in time to save my business, huh?  Are you really trying to make THAT claim?  Isn't it far more likely that THOUSANDS of small business owners like myself saw precisely what I saw about what was coming and took the same, necessary actions I did to protect themselves and their businesses?

Nah, that couldn't be it, so I must be a genius, right?  So here I am, 12 years later doing the same things I did then, because I know full well what's in store for the country with a dope like Biden in charge!  We'll be looking at HUGE tax increases, MOUNTAINS of new regulations, not the least of which will be on fossil fuels which will cause our gas prices and heating prices to skyrocket!  We'll see massive numbers of jobs cut amid more wild spending, while the idiot reopens the border to millions of new illegals.  Then we'll get to watch as the poverty levels rise again, food stamp dependency increases, and wages either stagnate or drop, with so many unemployed millions hunting for a job.  We'll see rents skyrocket as building property owners have to pay those tax increases and the additional costs for heat and electricity.  And of course, we'll see new riots in the streets become common once again led by BLM and Antifa because minority unemployment will once again set new records.  And God only knows the mess this cretin will make out of health care, especially with a liberal dunce whore like Harris who has promised to outlaw private insurance handling it!

So prepare yourself for what's coming, or if you're convinced I'm such an idiot, just ignore me and deal with the consequences and the shock as my predictions once again come true!  Why not save this post, and revisit it yourself in around 6-8 months?

Now that, I can agree with! But the CRA had  little to do with the crash.I know you want to blame Obama, but Alan Greenspan of the Fed pushed deregulation too far. He was an avid Ayn Rand stooge, in fact a good friend of hers. He admitted he '**** up" after all the damage was done!

Anything else that was Obama's fault that day?  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Cu ... November_6
No, it was the fault of idiot Democrats and liberals who voted for him!  I knew what his election would mean so why was everyone else too dumb to figure it out?  Or just forget about '08 and explain how so many people could once again be so stupid as to vote to elect a dope like Biden, who has the same agenda that Obama had, only worse, because the moron currently has the mind of a **** turnip?

And yes, there was PLENTY more that was Obama's fault!  Start with pulling our troops out of Iraq and watching as ISIS took over and brutally murdered thousands of men, women and children over the next few years while Obama did nothing.  And you can certainly throw in the open borders, the idiotic trade deals he made like TPP, the stupidity of the climate deals he agreed to, or the agreement to let Iran build nukes!  Obamacare was a HUGE failure, and the rollout of it was even worse!  He infuriated and humiliated our entire police force by calling them stupid, then watched the weekly count of shootings and murders every weekend by drug dealers in Chicago while he did nothing.  We watched our Ambassador and several of our brave soldiers murdered in Benghazi while the asshole sat on his thumb, we watched his pick for Sec. of State Hillary sell influence for her phony charity to every country she could extort money from.  We got the incredible stupidity of "cash for clunkers", Obama's stubborn refusal to approve the Keystone XL and Dakota pipelines, huge tax hikes, his broken promise to Israel to move the US embassy to Jerusalem, and the breaking of established contract law to help keep his auto union campaign contributions rolling in.  He watched silently as Russia invaded Crimea, drew a red line in the sand against Syria which they laughed at and immediately crossed as he did nothing, and became quite accustomed to watching No. Korea threaten us and others while testing their nukes and their ballistic missiles at will.  We watched with disgust as this idiot bowed to terrorist leaders, graciously accepted gifts on the evils perpetrated by us on Latin America from Hugo Chavez, while his gift to England was an MP3 player containing his speeches, as he insulted them by returning a bust of Winston Churchill he ordered removed from the White House.

Is that enough for you, or do I need to go on?

How they doin', Nostradamus?
No, there are far too many variables to predict how the market will turn now.  Pending stimulus trillions, the Trump Vaccine rollout success, the number of businesses closing down forever, the Trump legal cases on voter fraud, and the Senate majority which won't be determined for another week or more.

You'd be wise to heed my warnings, but of course if you were wise to begin with, you'd never be a liberal!
