Remember the first time you sang lead in front of a live audience? I do! I was scared to death. It was an old Stevie Wonder tune but I don't remember which one. lolJantje_Smit » 29 Aug 2025, 1:33 am » wrote: ↑ She is out there and having some giggles.. the 80's were great but so was disco, another one of those things that will never come back..

I never sang lead, my singing skills are on the same level as my guitar skills.. lol.. but I know what you mean, I got a role in a school play for the parents dumped on me once and when you get out on that stage and see a few hundred people watching you I was scared to death, I couldn't remember the lines I was supposed to say and wanted to sink through the ground but then something happened, I don't know what came over me but I just improvised and got some funnies in that had them laughing, that was easy and it took care of the stage fright, it also made me realize that it's much better to have people laugh with you than laugh at you.. that was also the moment I became Jantje clown as Cyndi used to call me.. lol.. I never stopped ever since..roadkill » 04 Sep 2025, 2:36 pm » wrote: ↑ Remember the first time you sang lead in front of a live audience? I do! I was scared to death. I was shaking...I could feel the cuff of my pants rattling against my ankle.![]()
As time went on I got used to it and got over most of my stage fright.
Hey Maria...I know exactly how you feel.I wonder if Maria has tried singing after this just to get the monkey off her back. I really do know how she felt.
