Whoa! There is good in that song. IMO, of course.

The guys in the band (my friends) said they could teach anybody who's never touched a guitar how to play this song for tonight's set. They almost got me to do it. 
Just saying it is not a very interesting or complex set of music. Not to play anyway...

The slide down the scale on guitar is just using the microphone stand and leaning back slowly.
I don't know how Argent did it but my buddy did it without even trying ... while yawning.

I figured: I have really long hair and fingers. I can do this. Rock star!!!
In the end I didn't think the joke was worth it. Still can't play guitar.

It was the transition time between baby boomers were becoming parents and grandparents. Hippies to yuppies. The song was about a place art was sold as social culturalism of a generation finding themselves different from previous generation gaps. How character define themselves as self made souls.
