It was.  When discussing semi automatics.  But the point is moot.  Go ahead and ban that.  But modern day ones?  They don't fit your argument.  They are not designed for the battlefield.

Lie your way out, diversion boy.   Next time you choose a diversion don't pick one I can so easily destroy.

I am not confused.  We were have a conversation of the SMEI AUTOMATIC AR 15 which was the Sporter.

In the future you post will specify which weapon you are referring to.

1.  The Armalite 10/15. (automatic)

2.  The M16 (automatic).  Which WAS the Armalite 10/15 and Colt and the government rebranded the M16.

2.  The AR 15 Sporter, which was a weapon designed for civilians and Law Enforcement and Colt simply gave the name AR 15.  Which was the weapon we were discussing.

The Sporter was the ORIGINAL semi automatic designed for civilians.

In the future specify.  I was talking about the last one.  All three weapons are very different.  #readmysig.

In the context of the discussion of semi automatics the AR 15 was designed for civilian use.  Do you mind quoting that entire comment?  So we can see the context?  You are not man enough.

There is the original quote you refuse to quote in full.

Not false at all.  The Armallite 10/15 was designed for the battlefield.  Colt bought it and designated it the M16, still designed for the battlefield.  Those weapons are effectively for civilian use.

The Original AR 15 Sporter, a semiautomatic, was designed for civilian use.  It has no functional relationship to either the M15 or the Armalite version of the M16.  It is the ORIGINAL Semi automatic sports rifle designed for civilian use.

Now that you understand you may continue your argument.

It wasn't "designed", it was modified.

Apparently.

it was modified.
THose ARE your words

At this point you need to explain what was modified.  What was changed to make a civilian design is what need to explain. But it is a moot point.  You can ban the Original Sporter all you like.  No **** problem.  But the today's AR 15 semi automatics were not designed for the battlefield.  You have no argument.

"Original"?

No, you lying little piece of ****..

THIS is the "original"...

Dwarf,

The fact that a belt buckle can conceivably be used to make an AR15 sporting thing perform in the manner for which it was originally designed, was not deemed reason to keep them alive.

This is the direct analog for your multiple mag line...

And rather than PREDICTING a result, we can look back and check Reality.

when I make reference to AR15 sporting thing I am mocking the **** idiotic idea behind "sporting rifle" - the marketing rationalization for allowing the sale of these **** things to losers.

I am not making reference to the long dead twig off the AR 15 tree that died in the crib. It is irrelevant, the "argument" for which you employ it is utter ****.

Whcih weapon are you discussing:

1.  The Arnalite 10/15?

2.  The M16?

3.  The Colt AR 15 Sporter, the original semiautomatic sport rifle platform?

The original AR15 was designed for combat. The AR15 Sporter was a very short lived VERSION of the original design, modified to make it legal for civilan sale.

The "Colt AR15 style" sporting thing is a semiautomatic variant of the M-16 - a weapon designed for combat, borrowing many principles of the original AR15 design.

We are far from done.  If you can not tell me which particular weapon you are talking about and what was allegedly modified I can't respond.  Additionally, todays Semi Automatics have nothing to do with that.

I suggest you #readmysig.

Oh, so you have no clue what you are talking about.  Since you are not talking about the Colt Ar 15 Sporter could you tell me what Semi automatic you want banned.  None of today's versions were designed for the battlefield.

Ok, you don't live there.  But, two things:

1.  No matter what state you live in you can not buy from an FFL without a UBC.  That is against federal law.

2.  With out knowing what state you are talking about we can not argue about PRIVATE SELLERs, who by law are not allowed to make a living doing it and are allowed to make an occasional sale.
