The original AR15 was designed for combat. The AR15 Sporter was a very short lived VERSION of the original design, modified to make it legal for civilan sale.

The "Colt AR15 style" sporting thing is a semiautomatic variant of the M-16 - a weapon designed for combat, borrowing many principles of the original AR15 design.

Since it the Sporter it is a semiautomatic why does it have to be banned?  It was not designed for the battlefield.  And the models of today made by other manufacturers are not related to it and are also simply semiautomatic weapons.  It must be because they are scary looking.

I am not going to argue with you. It is a semi automatic that was designed for civilian use.  Not the battlefield.  You also said it modified.  You have yet to explain what was modified.

I also told you go ahead and ban the Sporter.  Your illogic does not apply to today's weapons.

No, your citation proves it is a semi automatic, not designed for the battlefield.

The Rugar 556 is not of the Sporter family.  The Ruger Mini is not of the Sporter family.  The Rer Tactical 22LR is not of a variant of the M16.  Plus, it is .22.  None of those are designed for the battlefield.  Why should they be banned?  Speak up, Scrawny.
