The Ruger Mini 14 is a variant of the M14.
Nod.
It's designed around an entirely different Doctrine.Huey » 04 Jul 2022, 8:56 am » wrote: ↑ I brought it up. It is a select fire weapon. About the same cyclic rate of fire as the M16.
Although semi autos versions don’t have a cyclic rate of fire.
Post that exception.Blackvegetable » 04 Jul 2022, 8:57 am » wrote: ↑ The M14 is a Battle Rifle. It is designed for a different caliber.
The Ruger mini borrows the Garand style action, but is otherwise specifically designed to suit a function entirely different from that of an assault rifle.
With one exception.

The Ruger Mini 14 is based on the M14.The Mini-14 is a lightweight semi-automatic rifle manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co. Introduced in 1973, it is based on the M14 rifle and is essentially a scaled-down version chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO.It is made in a number of variants, including: the Ranch Rifle (a basic, civilian variant), the Mini-14 GB, and the Mini Thirty, which is chambered for 7.62×39mm. The rifle is currently used by military personnel, law-enforcement personnel, and civilians in the United States and around the world.
STFU before you get hurt further.
WTF are you imagining?STFU before you get hurt further.
No, tiny.
What exactly do you think the M14 does?Blackvegetable » 04 Jul 2022, 9:03 am » wrote: ↑ To tear up flesh in an immediate radius, in a hurry.

The Colt Ar 15 shoots a 5.56/.223 round and is semi automatic and is capable of using 30round magazine.Blackvegetable » 04 Jul 2022, 9:04 am » wrote: ↑ No, tiny.

Because you've lost the argument I've made, you need to attack something I haven't said.
But I still need you to acknowledge the purpose for which the Ruger mini was designed..
Oh yeah..Huey » 04 Jul 2022, 9:10 am » wrote: ↑ You did in the past. Check your notifications. I’ll bump it again.
I posted the purpose. Not reposting it.
The wiki post. If I repost it you take a week off. There has to be something in it for me.
Just to be clear you are saying the M14 with select fire option, that fires the same round as the M60 MG, and has. Cyclic rate of fire of 700-750 was NOT designed To tear up flesh in an immediate radius, in a hurry?Blackvegetable » 04 Jul 2022, 9:03 am » wrote: ↑ To tear up flesh in an immediate radius, in a hurry.

The Ruger Mini 14 IS about functionality...the AR15 is about Rambocosplay...
Yes.
Notice how a Man does that, Sheilagh.
These are yours.
Never, ever confuse the two.
The bullet that struck U.S. Representative Steve Scalise last week was traveling at somewhere between 1,100 and 2,600 feet per second. The projectile, a 7.62 x 39 bullet, hit the House majority whip with between 370 and 1,550 foot-pounds of force. The rifle round, which is longer than a pistol projectile, likely also began tumbling after its point collided with his hip. That meant that the tip didn’t just bore straight through him, but rather that the whole length of the projectile rotated over and over through Scalise’s body, ripping a wider hole and distributing a bigger shock wave throughout his bones and tissue.Blackvegetable » 04 Jul 2022, 9:03 am » wrote: ↑ To tear up flesh in an immediate radius, in a hurry.

Scalise, a Republican from Louisiana whose condition has been upgraded to “serious,” suffered broken bones, ruptured blood vessels, and shredded internal organs. The gunman was able to inflict such extensive damage from across a baseball field because he was using a semiautomatic rifle that may have qualified as an assault weapon, akin to a standard infantry combat weapon. Some basic physics explains why the choice of weapon, or more precisely, the choice of bullet, enabled the suspect, James Hodgkinson, who was killed by law enforcement officers, to wreak so much havoc.
