Yeah, I saw that Star Trek NG episode in the 1980's too. Here's the problem. It takes HUGE amounts of mass to warp space-time in the manner you claim. Neutron star level mass. Or, energy equivalent to the mass of a neutron star, or possibly even more. Did you hear the latest news? a whistle blower just came forward. More or less saying the gubmint has tons of evidence. From my perspective, the worst that any alien invasion of Earth could accomplish is cause me to die; die early, I suppose. It's not like they are going to enslave us to build pyramids and landing bases over the next 2,000 years.
