For the record the reason your property is worth what is is not because of the shared wall apartment. It is because of the land. Plus, the cost of living appears to be more down here.  My house is only 4 years old.  Had it custom built.  You?  Looks second hand.   While I have a premium lot it is more about the house and less about the land.  If you are still whining tomorrow I will show what the living room and kitchen look like.  Or the very large room over the garage and master bath.
