The Texas abortion law and abortion laws in several other states, appoints citizens as enforcement agents by allowing civil litigation against providers- anyone who aides or abiets the procedure. These laws have not been tested in the higher courts- other than SCOTUS allowing them to stand until actual cases come to the lower courts and appeals bring the case to the highest level. What will happen to the popularity of the law(s) when a citizen brings suit against the alleged biological father. The father is of course responsible for the abortion in the first place and subject to the "aid and abiet” formulation of the law. How will the lower courts rule? As usual, the Conservatives have tangled their purpose to deny women's free choice. Once the lawyers find this and prevail in several embarrassing court cases, the Texas law will soon be taken down.

One can only HOPE so. I personally am not surprised by ANYTHING the GOP does now. They've become completely and increasingly radicalized and each new outrage perpetrated by them is only the litmus test for an even further outrage, with them seldomly pulling back only when/if the blowback gets too loud, and only when they perceive it as damaging to their OWN support.

What DOES still amaze me is the sedateness displayed by the general public as the so-called 'LESS GOVERNMENT" fascist right enacts FURTHER government restrictions on that which THEY seek to restrict, cancel, shut down, dismiss, and ignore.

read the part of your post I quoted again, what are you covering up with that twisted logic? you expect better results appointing illegal/undocumented people to enforce them?

Oh wait subliminally elected representatives get the attitude of being the chosen people to lead everyone into better tomorrows even though life is limited to only evolving reproductively here now as numbers reveal each lifetime is a constant new total sum each heartbeat forward since conceived a fertilized cell dividing into a body wrapped around it by birth able to adapt spontaneously alive simultaneously here around its brain that was the fertilized cell upon entry to being alive in this atmosphere now.

america reverted back into 3rd world mentality allowing legal immigrants to infest our laws with their old world customs of respect a person's character projection injected into this nation's education system policies of indoctrinating next generations to always agree now cannot be eternity in plain sight, not their equal time mutually evolving now.

Y'know, it's really a crying SHAME when once respectable news outlets like CBS stoop to hiring a Trump FLUNKIE like Mulvaney for what apparently are at best, DUBIOUS reasons.

Mulvaney, besides being what most of the stories below cite him for, was also placed by Trump as head of the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, a consumer advocacy group that, before Trump and Mulvaney's deliberate SABOTAGE, HAD worked on hundreds of cases ON BEHALF OF CONSUMERS.

But then again Trump and the GOP never gave a flying **** about consumers, just as they never gave a flying **** about unions and collective bargaining for America's workers. Rather, the GOP did their damnedest to sabotage unions and weaken them every chance they GOT:
