You are absollutely correct. And unfortunated, as indicated by a recent poll, most Americans don't even know what the Democratic package entails because the Dems admittedly haven't done a good job of educating the people and the obstructionists on the right (and their corporate backed cronies like the Kochs and Heritage Foundation) have been allowed to control the narrative via their USUAL "alternate reality" ****.RollingRock » 30 Sep 2021, 10:23 am » wrote: ↑ I tend to believe that unbridled corporate whorism is the problem with these two. The two headlines below showcase the problem, imo:
Backed by big oil, Manchin holds the Key to Dem' climate agenda
Big Pharma, medical firms donated $750K to Kyrsten Sinema — then she opposed drug bill
As long as these two are beholden to their corporate donors, they are NOT serving the American voters who made their way through a pandemic to cast their votes in record numbers for Democrats and Joe Biden. If Democrats, as a whole, do not come through for the American people (i.e. healthcare, voting rights, child care, climate), then we are going to lose.
This bill represents the most aggressive progressive agenda I have witnessed to date on a national level. It NEEDS to pass. The American people overwhelmingly need it to pass. It is largely, if not entirely (depending on the final bill), paid for by raising the taxes on the ultra wealthy and corporations. No family making less than $400,000 will see a tax increase.
What's not to like?
Yet I fear it will not pass SOLELY because of these two senators.

How are your sheep? Pretty ignorant to believe democrats aren't owned by corporate lobbies. Most corporations these days actively support progressive causes and candidates. Not a significant difference. You didn't learn the lesson of Donald Trump. Monied interests conspired to destroy and diminish an outsider. Had it been Bernie Sanders, had it been Oprah Winfrey, they would have been similarly attacked. A pragmatic moderate was painted as the second coming of Hitler by the media. Name a republican that would have taken on the nra on bumpstocks. Name a republican that would have aggressively pursued sentencing reform for non violent drug offenders. Yes, he was the most liberal republican to ever be elected to president. Facts speak louder than rhetoric.

GOP national fundraising arm goes full cult, calls non-donors 'traitors' and 'deserters' to Trump
Really? Then how 'bout THESE????
Look bud, EVERYBODY from never-Trump Republicans like the Lincoln Project to this nation's intelligence agencies and the FBI have issued NUMEROUS warnings about reich-winged rising fascism and the danger THEY pose to democracy. So if you think your usual juvenile smilies suffice for any commentary actually WORTH a damn, think again. Grow the -------- up.
That's so PATENTLY LUDICROUS it deserves only scorn and ridicule. There are at least two dozen facts I can name off the top of my head as to why that's complete and utter ****.
