A Brother of mine is a Charter Boat Captain & Master out of Islamorada in the Keys... Sharks are a common sighting while spearfishing, but they don't cause much agro.... The real nuisance to Divers are Jewfish ( renamed Goliath Grouper as a casualty of Political Correctness no/joke )... Because of overharvesting years ago a ban from taking them had been imposed for decades... As result they have grown massive, numerous & very aggressive.... They routinely stalk Divers on the reefs there, and will immediately charge & steal their catch....

I'm sure quite a few folks have heard about the problem we are experiencing here in Florida regarding invasive Pythons that have gotten into the Everglades, and are making their way into the nearby suburbs.... They believe the origins of the problem goes back a few decades when locals released Pet Pythons into Everglades Park that had outgrown their owners ability to keep them... The result has been the snakes thrived in the environment and have arguably risen to top of the food chain.... Full gown, they can eat Alligators up to 6ft, Bobcats, Deer and other native wildlife...
Here's a 19 footer caught a few weeks ago at Big Cypress Nature reserve....

This is taken from Robbie's Marina in Islamorada the Keys.... It's one of the attraction there to feed baitfish to the huge Tarpon at the docks... A younger brother ran his charter boat business out of there for years, and now operates out of Tavineir a couple Keys north.
