When you look at the data you are asked to put aside judgements and define what is unexplained precisely. Then you do the opposite... you allow your confirmation bias to develop a hypothesis based on your "notion" of how it works. Then you test out predictions based on all possibilities. The results should eventually lead you to the truth without bias. I never really thought of it that way... but yes it does seem to fit with the scientific process. I come at it from business and engineering and quantum.
Well I was not born with my world view. I arrived at it gradually. After consuming a lot of data and philosophy. Therefore it cannot be a product of confirmation bias. 10 years ago I woukd have thought I was crazy...but i could not deny truth when I was exposed to it.

I can do that. Because my world view is correct.
I bet mine has performed better.

After all, don't you believe socialism is viable?

I don't even care dude. Money is not a major concern of mine. I am a seeker of truth. I had enough money to live without ever working since I was 13 years old.

What do you even define socialism to be?

That's the way CB works.  You can't know without first figuring out how your brain is consuming the data.  Until you do that, the analyses just continue to point to the same conclusion no matter what the data.  And cognitive dissonance too will allow you to be blinded by anything else.

I'm worth about 10 million $ dude. You keep talking about how rich you are as if I would care. Can we skip that? I'm doing fine.

Exactly. So when you look at any data for those 10 years you could likely be in the 95+ percentile. Very likely. So none of the results of analysis ever changes. To a man with a hammer everything looks like a nail. Cognitive dissonance is the tendency of the brain when confronted with data which obviously conflicts with the confirmed perception your brain will establish links which don't exist to rationalize the conflicting reality so the confirmed perception remains intact.

I'm the one who provided you with evidence that contradicted your world view. You provided nothing to me lol. What sort of sophistry are you attempting here?

For instance if you believe socialism is viable and all the spending is a good thing and doesn't result in inflation, when inflation does set in and even correlate as the data clearly shows the socialist will find ANY REASON to choose any bit of data and twist it to align with the confirmed perception. Such as when the readers of Trump's speech thought it was Obama's. Even though it obviously conflicted with much of what they held true, the rationalized it away in a manner that allowed them to think it actually confirmed their opinion of Obama and their best interests.

They'll even claim printing money decreases inflation.  And I've even heard them buy that load of crap when Biden and Kamala and that press secretary made the statement.  Incredible.  Yet inflation staring them in the face and they deny there is any correlation.  There brain just will not allow them to destroy the perception.  There entire psyche has already invested so much effort... 10 years of effort developing the tool it uses to make sense of the world.

It is very difficult to have your world view challenged. I get it. Our world view can often become mixed into our identity...especially if you identify as a rich man.

But quite simply you cannot respond to my point. This one tiny little fact...and there are hundreds of other examples.

Considering the evidence that lambert sabotaged sears so that Amazon had no competition...that totally demolished your idea of how our economy works...doesn't it? Corruption is the rule, not meritocracy.
Ask him about banking/finance lol. Watch as head spins.

Like I said, fascist vs libertarian = bloodbath

what are you even talking about?

first of all you were acting like bezos spending money is good for the economy just a few posts ago. So...why does it matter if it is the state rather than bezos? Your world view is internally inconsistent.

Second you are actually making claims that are not true according to economic science. You absolutely can decrease inflation even when printing money if, for example, you also raise taxes. The financial science here is not as simple and reductionist as you seem to think.

Or when the banking system collapses even though you thought the housing policies would eradicate poverty in our time.  And that these policies would actually be GREAT for the economy and then it clearly proved otherwise, they will go find ANY piece of obscure information to rationalize why it happened otherwise.  Invariably it will be the other guy... the enemy who did something to overcome the benefits.  Or when one of your guys does some obvious shady things your brain will immediately search through its memory to find a past incident where someone else did something shady to divert from the perceived conflict.  As though this changes the obvious truth your mind knew they were corrupt before it switched the channel on you.  You brain just switches its thought stream.

That wasn't my intent.  But I think you read something into what you THOUGHT I was thinking.  Humans are HORRIBLE at reading minds.

Well then stop trying to read my mind lol. You seemed to want a more elevated discussion in this thread but you aren't offering much of a counterpoint right now.
