France was naturally terrified of Germany sure. Because France is next to Germany. And Germany almost conquered France in ww1.
But imO this was all paranoia based on nothing. We know the nazis had a resource based focus on their imperialism and France had absolutely npthing...other than perhaps French girls...to interest the nazis.
France easily could have just ignored the nazi invasion of poland...just like they ignored the ussr invasion of Poland. And France woukd have been safe.
But no...they decided to declare war. For strategic reasons? Or for jewish reasons. Well...Jewish no doubt.

What the f do you actually know about anything lolLibDave » 01 Jan 2022, 9:02 pm » wrote: ↑ Hitler was a fool. Horrible commander. So lame when Churchill received intelligence of a plot to assassinate Hitler, Churchill hurriedly sent word to the assassins to call it off. Almost didn't get through in time to save the megalomaniac. The NAZI's had some great generals. Not that they mattered much due to Hitler and the corruption of the leadership.
Montgomery was a **** commander too.

The Jews at the time weren't much better off than the Irish. The Italian American community had much more influence. But still, indigenous native born Americans were far and away more in control and certainly more affluent. Anglo-Saxon Protestant home grown 4th generation and more where in charge. Baptists for the most part. The recent influx of immigrants were just newly arrived workers.
US policy could hardly be considered pro-Jewish. American sentiment at the time didn't even allow for Jewish refugees from Germany to immigrate under asylum protection. This kind of flies in the face of your claim doesn't it. We sent 10s of thousands back to Germany who were subsequently executed. A point of embarrassment following the war. Almost half the country leaned towards entering on the side of Germany and Italy prior to Pearl Harbor.
So no. It was just the plain old American melting pot. Germany did not by any measure have a chance in hell of doing what they set out to do once Hitler made the mistake of declaring war on the US. It only further emphasizes his lack of intelligence in regards to military matters. He was a mouse in terms of geopolitical savvy. This likely played in his favor before 1939.

I have a great deal of experience on this subject. For every 1 lb. of equipment provided to the Japanese soldiers in the Pacific, how many pounds of equipment would you guess American soldier received?
How about for the German Soldier?
The answer is about 4.5 tons. That's 9000 pounds to 1.LibDave » 01 Jan 2022, 9:34 pm » wrote: ↑ Wow! That came out of left field. This is an entirely different subject. Cutting off oil served its purpose then I guess. What did you expect would be the response to the invasions of Austria, Czech, and Poland?FOS » 01 Jan 2022, 9:37 pm » wrote: ↑ we prevented oil from entering Japan you retard. What did you expect them to do?
Sorry. Bs. Germany only had to fight the ussr. Britain etc could have minded their own business. They didn't.LibDave » 01 Jan 2022, 9:43 pm » wrote: ↑ Germany started the war, Britain and France joined in on the Allied side. Hitler and the NAZI's wrote a check their butts could not cash. They were excited at the prospect of capturing such a large quantity of supplies (hoping for fuel, or ammo or weapons). When they examined the contents of the trucks the German commander announced, I know now the war is hopeless. To his amazement the 10 truckloads of supplies consisted of cherry, apple and other assorted pies sent across the entire Atlantic ocean for our boys. Yes the national socialists couldn't get his men bullets 300 miles from the border.
It's crazy that some people still have this beery sentimental patriotism .for AMERICA . this guy probly gets weepy over a U.S. flag rippling in the wind
